What is UEP IPU ITSO?
It stands for the University of Eastern Philippines
Intellectual Property Unit and Innovation and Technology Support Office.
The University of Eastern Philippines Intellectual Property Unit (UEP-IPU) was created by Office Order No. 45, series 2011 dated November 22, 2011 on the recommendation of the University Research Council Resolution No. 2, series 2011 and confirmed by the UEP Board of Regents Resolution No. 48, series 2011. It manages and administers the intellectual property system of the University.
On October 16, 2012, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed by and between the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOP) and the University of Eastern Philippines (UEP) at the Intellectual Property Center, McKinley Hill Town Center, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. Recognizing the high potential of the University as a partner in the attainment of the IP Philippines’ organizational mission, the IPOP named UEP as one of the members of the Innovation and Technology Support Offices (ITSO) network in the Philippines; thus, establishing the UEP as one of its partner institutions in servicing specific areas, and an institution with high potential for patent and other related activities.
