25 NEW LICENSED MEAT INSPECTORS FROM UEPCVM

The College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Eastern Philippines has produced 25 new Licensed Meat Inspectors and they were honored in a ceremony on February 7, 2014, during the CVM Day celebration.
The Meat Inspection Safety Examination (MISE) passers are: Sheila V. Acero, Melba Q. Albay, Mildred L. Badiola, Omar John P. Ballon, Ophelia V. Cogay, Dennis L. De Asis, Maria Rhodessa A. Delamide, Emento C. Delmoro, Arly A. Dista, Maria Glenda Fajardo, Julian Alberto E. Gelera, Jake L. Medrano, Liza D. Mariano, Dennis L. Noble, Rosemarie I. Ongcal, Ailet N. Padasas, Jude N. Padasas, Marjenet D. Pajac, Jerry G. Romero, Ricci R. Sacaben, Nennette C. Salazar, Cecilia N. Timogtimog, Jose Jerry N. Toleran, Rodmar R. Truelda, and Maridol C. Turbanada.
Last September 12, 2013, the Civil Service Commission released online the list of the 158 MISE passers, 25 of which are graduates of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and BS in Meat Technology from UEPCVM. The examination was held on August 11, 2013 at the Ramon Magsaysay High School, Manila.
According to the Civil Service Commission, the successful examinees will be granted civil service eligibility for the meat inspectors working in LGUs to attain permanent status of employment.
The MISE was pressed by the National Meat Inspection Service to professionalize meat inspectors for the continued protection of the public and to ensure adequate supply of meat and meat products.#
