Blessing of the CL Extension Building
The UEP College of Law faculty, staff and students applauded on June 22, 2015 the blessing of the College of Law (CL) extension building constructed at the right side of its old building.
As the student population grows, the need for new structures is in demand. The CL building is used not only by Law Students but also by the undergraduate students and graduate students.
Thus, the University President, Atty Mar P. De Asis, and the Dean of the College of Law, Atty Marlonfritz B. Broto, initiated the construction of the said building for additional classrooms and offices on June 22, 2015. The consecration of the building was headed by our very active University Chaplain Rev. Msgr. Walter Cerbito, VG. He was accompanied by the University President, together with the College of Law Dean, CL Faculty and Staff, Heads of offices, Deans, faculty and staff of other Colleges in the University, the ALAS Officers, Law Students, few University Student Council (USC) officers, and The Pillar staff.
According to Atty Marlonfritz Broto, the extension building was made possible through the DPWH as the implementing agency and was funded by former Cong. Raul Daza on its first phase, and the UEP counterpart funds for the second phase and rehabilitation.
The first floor will provide a room as Office of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, an Audio Visual Room, Office of the Legal Aide, and Student Lounge. On the second floor will be a classroom, the Office of the Dean, and the Faculty Lounge so that the old Faculty and Dean’s offices in the old building will be an extension of the CL Library. # (Ma.
