The College of Nursing of the University of Eastern Philippines (UEP-CN) broke its record in the Nursing Licensure Examination (NLE) performance with the highest ever passing percentage of 89.39% for first-time takers as against the national passing percentage of 34.45%.
The Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC) posted in its website on January 30, 2013 that only 16,908 out of the 49,066 examinees passed the December 16-17, 2012 NLE.
The UEP-CN passers were 59 out of the 66 (89.39%) first-time takers and 4 out of 10 (40.00%) repeaters; making an overall performance of 82.89%.

Aside from these 59 passers, Jamilon Jamil Llanera also passed the NLE taken in July 2012, making a total of 60 new Registered Nurses from the UEP-CN graduates.
The new passers of NLE are required to take an oath before the Nursing Board or any authorized government official before they could go into nursing practice, pursuant to Sec. 16 of RA 9173.
The UEP-CN Dean, Maria Linda S. Agus, and the Clinical Instructors are proud of the new RNs. Their passing the examination is a product of collective hard work and self-determination towards excellence.
