Program Educational Objectives:

Within 3 – 5 years after graduation, the program expects that the Electrical Engineering graduate will:

1.  be able to impart essential knowledge, elements, tools and skills necessary to become successful engineers;

2.  develop students’ ability to recognize, formulate and solve electrical engineering problems; and

3.  provide the students with a meaningful experience in research and design that are relevant to the electrical engineering field.

Program Outcomes:

By the time of graduation, students of the program shall have developed the ability to:

1.  apply knowledge of mathematics and sciences to solve complex engineering problems;

2.  develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data;

3.  design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability, in accordance with standards;

4.  function effectively on multidisciplinary and multi-cultural teams that establish goals, plan tasks, and meet deadlines (base on PQF Level 6 descriptor);

5.  identify, formulate, and solve complex problems in electrical engineering;

6.  Recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering practice;

7.  Communicate effectively with a range of audiences;

8.  Understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental and societal context;

9.  Recognize the need for additional knowledge and engage in life-long learning;

10.  Articulate and discuss the latest developments in the field of electrical engineering (PQF Level 6 descriptor);

11.  Apply techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for electrical engineering practice; and

12.  Demonstrate understanding of engineering and management principles as a member and/or leader in a team, to manage projects in multidisciplinary environments.
