The UEP delegation for dance sport and poster making contests qualified for the top three during the 56th ASEAN Commemorative Contests held on August 18, 2023, at Eastern Visayas State University-Main Campus and Doña Remedios Trinidad Romualdez Medical Foundation Gymnasium.

The UEP Cultural Director, Dr. Mary Lynn Espiña-Verano and Prof. Liana Melissa dela Rosa are the coaches for poster making, spoken word poetry, and essay writing contests.
Dr. Verano expressed her gratitude towards the university president and the finance office for the immediate grant of their budget request. She also thanked all the people in the academe who continue to support the activities of the university talents.
