Academic Calendar A.Y. 2024-2025
As part of the university’s green initiative and in line with the duly BOR Approved Environmental Management Plan of UEP, MEMORANDUM NO. 150 Series of 2024 was issued by the university president, DR. CHERRY I. ULTRA directing the UEP Employees and students to SUSPEND THE UTILIZATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES as means of transportation within the University Campus (GATED PREMISES) EVERY WEDNESDAY.

Further, MEMORANDUM NO. 155 Series of 2024 was also issued informing all concerned on the DESIGNATED PARKING SPACE OF THESE MOTOR VEHICLES along the VICENCIO LANE of this university (IN FRONT OF THE UEP GRANDSTAND).#

The UEP Seal
The official seal of the University was registered with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines on August 1, 2013 with Registration No. 4/2013/00002186. The seal’s design is shown.
Blue and Gold Colors – the University colors symbolize the lofty ideals of the institution and the golden dreams of the youth.
Wheel – symbolizes the unending search for knowledge.
Lamp – symbolic of the light that education brings.
Sun’s Eight Rays – indicate Region 8 (Eastern Visayas), the immediate service area of the University.
The words Instruction, Research, Extension, Production – refer to the  quadruple functions of the University.
The year 1918 – the establishment of the institution as the Catarman Farm School which later became the Catarman National Agricultural High School (CNAHS).
The year 1956 – the establishment of the Samar Institute of Technology (SIT) and the abolition of CANHS on June 14, 1956 by virtue of Republic Act 1434.The year 1964 – the conversion of SIT into the University of Eastern Philippines (UEP) on June 20, 1964 by virtue of Republic Act 4126.
